we're not in the environment. we're being hit by nation-states and the militaries and extremely organized crime not a resolution for vitamins, exercise programs, and band aids. in fact, what you'll find it's really not a resolution for victims to constantly playing defense and stirring up the system. it's just possible. it's never going to be possible for an agency or a corporation to become impenetrable to the vast number of threats that we see today in our interoperateble dynamic environment. it might be possible if we bunker down and didn't connect to other systems and retain static environments. it's not the situation we're confronting here. what we're seeing is a failed strategy where our security gets worse. we have been predominantly focused on information sharing. and which the government hide under the table to lock the door. when it doesn't work, there are more warnings. the private sector is saying e don't mind being warned. i like being warned there's incoming. but i had hoped that while you were warni

i think i was trying to describe the environment that i found myself in. i am a pastor first and foremost. i'm not a politician. i am descriptive rather than re- scripted. so what i was describing was phenomenon that lives on both sides of the aisle. i think, for instance, i made a statement remove the burdens of those the collateral damage. -- of those who are the collateral damage. most of my members were furlough. i'm aware of the burdens that they have debated. i made a plea for there not to be a delay in death benefits to the grieving families of our fallen warriors. i did that primarily because i had made scores of death notifications the next of kin as a navy chaplain for 27 years, and i appreciate the income principal nature of the grief. so i was playing out of pastoral concern rather than trying to make a political point. >> did you feel as though you're giving a voice to some of those people who were furlough or foreign military families? >> i think that a critical part of where is to lift to god the concerns. you are a voice for the voiceless.
